High Contrast was founded to create a sanctuary where local artists could connect, collaborate, and find their community through raw creativity. What began in November 2024 as a small weekly gathering initiated by founder Dosa Kim at Art and Industry has evolved into a driving force within the Atlanta art scene.

As the circle expanded—welcoming foundational voices like Raz and Michael Mauldin, and growing with the addition of creators like Pato Vasquez and MonkPanda—so did the ambition of our collective endeavors.

Over the past two years, High Contrast has moved from the sketchbook to the streets, making a significant impact through projects like the Atlanta Crossroads Mural Festival (ACMF), the Underground Quilt Project, and the ongoing Fortuna series. Beyond the canvas, we act as a vital bridge for creators, facilitating professional opportunities with Atlanta’s Office of Cultural Affairs to ensure local talent has a seat at the table.

At our core, we remain dedicated to empowering the individual. Whether we are hosting our weekly sessions every Tuesday at Eyedrum Atlanta or organizing large-scale public works, our mission is to provide the education, resources, and space needed to build a sustainable, high-impact movement for the arts in Atlanta.

From the seasoned professional to the beginner just starting out, we foster an environment that makes creating easy, inclusive, and—above all—connected.
