1. About these terms
This site is operated by High Contrast (“we”, “us”). These terms apply to every purchase made through highcontrast13.com. By placing an order you agree to them. Please read the section on final sales carefully before you buy.
2. Original works
Every piece offered here is an original work of art, one of one. There are no reproductions or editions unless a listing says otherwise.
Because these are handmade originals, small variations in colour, texture, edge and finish are part of the work, not defects. Screens vary, and a photograph cannot perfectly represent a physical piece. If you would like additional images or details of a work before buying, email us and we will send them.
3. Prices and payment
All prices are in US dollars. Payment is processed securely by Stripe; we never see or store your card details. Your card is charged at checkout, and the charge will appear on your statement as HIGH CONTRAST.
A piece is not reserved until payment clears. Each work is unique and available to one buyer only — listings are removed or marked sold once purchased.
4. All sales are final
All sales are final. We do not offer returns, exchanges, refunds, or cancellations once an order has been placed, except as set out in section 5 below.
This is standard practice for original art and reflects the nature of what we sell: each work is unique, held on consignment for the artist who made it, and taken off the market the moment you buy it. Please ask any questions you have before ordering — we are glad to answer them.
5. Damage in transit
We pack every shipment carefully and insure it in full.
If a work arrives damaged, contact us at info@highcontrast13.com within 5 days of delivery, with photographs of the outer packaging, the inner packing, and the damage to the work itself. Keep all packaging until the claim is resolved — carriers routinely require it, and discarding it may void the claim.
Where a work is damaged or lost in transit, we will resolve it with you and the carrier. Depending on the circumstances this may mean a full refund or, where the artist is willing and the damage is minor, a repair or a partial refund. We will not leave you holding a damaged piece you paid for.
6. Shipping
Flat-rate shipping within the United States:
- Small works — $50
- Medium works — $100
Rates cover packing, carriage and insurance. Orders usually ship within 5–10 business days; framed and fragile pieces may take longer to prepare. We will email tracking when a piece ships.
Risk of loss passes to you on delivery, not on dispatch. Until a work is in your hands, it is our problem.
7. Large and oversized works
Larger pieces are not sold through checkout. Freight on a four-foot canvas is not a flat rate, and quoting one honestly requires knowing where it is going.
These works show an Email us about this piece button. Write to us and we will come back with a real shipping figure and arrange payment directly.
8. Local pickup
Collection in Atlanta is free. Choose local pickup at checkout and we will contact you to arrange a time. Work bought during the show must be collected by September 17, 2026. After that date, please collect within 14 days of purchase. If you cannot collect in time, email us beforehand and we will arrange shipping at the rates above.
9. Consignment and the artists
Work in this show is sold on consignment. The majority of every sale goes directly to the artist who made it. Each artist retains all rights in their work other than the physical object you are buying.
10. Copyright
Buying a work transfers ownership of that physical object only. The artist retains copyright and all reproduction rights. You may not reproduce, publish, or make commercial use of an image of the work without the artist’s written permission. Photographing a piece you own for personal or non-commercial purposes is fine.
11. Sales tax
The price shown for each work is the amount you pay for it. Any tax that may be due on a sale is our responsibility, not an amount added to your order at checkout.
12. Contact

13. Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA, and any dispute arising from a purchase will be handled in the courts of Fulton County, Georgia.
